  • 112g unsalted butter melted

  • 170 - 237 ml of whole milk (warm)

  • 3 tablespoons cream cheese room temperature

  • salt to taste

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 4 to 6 garlic cloves

  • parsley for garnish on top

Toppings:

Cheese to topping

Parsley to garnish once cooked

Method

1. So lets start with the mince, begin my browning off your fresh mince lamb, once browned and its juices have run dry add in your finely chopped onions and carrots, pea's and sunflower oil mix in well, allow to sauté until golden.

2. Boil a kettle of hot water, whilst it boils add in salt, pepper, 10 Spice Mix, Chilli powder and mix well, add in tomato passata and puree and mix well, add in boiling water and mix well, Allow to cook.

3. Meanwhile boil your potatoes whole, start with cold water, add in salt and 4-6 cloves of whole garlic, boil your potatoes with the skin on, once they are cooked thorough (test with a knife, any uncooked potatoes will result in lumpy mash) peel the potato's with a butter knife and roughly chop.

4. Add to a stand mixer you can choose to add in the garlic or keep it out, if you want a lighter garlic flavour. Mix the potatoes until no more lumps are visible.

5. Pour in the melted butter, add the cream cheese add a little salt and pepper to taste.

6. Add some warm milk, until you are happy with the consistency.

7. Now in a dish add in the mince and top with the creamy mash, add a generous layer of your favourite cheese and bake in the oven until crispy and golden.

8. To serve sprinkle with parsley and enjoy !

We hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.

Warmest Wishes
